We Need You to Attend

Please plan on attending the L.A. County Board of Supervisors hearing on Prop A on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 9:30 A.M.  Proposition A is the proposition that was passed by the majority of the L.A. County taxpayers in both early and mid 1990's.

Proposition A is a park proposition.  It is for acquiring additional parkland, open space and for improving existing facilities.  It affects all of Los Angeles County which is made up of 88 Cities.  The City of Whittier is now trying to change the "Land Use" for the land into an oil field.  If they are successful, then any land that was purchased with Prop A money can have their land use changed to anything including an oil field.

Please join us on October 29, 2013 to let the County Board of Supervisors that you are OPPOSED to any land use change which includes the Whittier Main Field Oil Project.  If you are unable to attend you can e-mail your comments to them at PublicHearing@bos.lacounnty.gov (Please indicate Whittier Oil Project in the "Subject").

At the public hearing, the Board shall hear and consider the testimony of interested persons and will then make a decision on this matter.
